Annual Displays – Douglas Gymnastic Club

Hi Everyone,

Our Annual Club Displays will take place from Tuesday 11^th – Sunday 16^th June. These will feature our Advanced, Recreational, Recreational Plus, Teen & Adult gymnasts

The theme this year for our Displays is – “Olympics “

(Our Junior Gymnasts ( those born in 2020/2019 in our independent Junior Gym class) – will also have displays in June – details of their displays will also be circulated over the coming week)

Each year the club’s Annual displays give all the gymnasts the opportunity to show off some of the skills they have learnt. We will be holding 11 short displays to make sure every gymnast is given the opportunity to take part.

Two of the displays – Display 4 & Display 8 will see all our Advanced gymnasts in action. We highly recommend gymnast to not only take part in their allocated displays but to also come along to watch either of those displays to see our more advanced gymnasts in action ,

Gymnasts are allocated to take part in one of the displays as per notices attached here (click this link) Allocated_Display_Days_and_Times.pdf

Please look through carefully so you know what display each gymnasts will participate in and also what they have to wear.

Display 1 – Tuesday 11^th June, 7pm

Display 2 – Wednesday 12^th June, 7pm

Display 3 – Thursday 13^th June, 7pm

Display 4 – Friday 14^th June, 7pm **Advanced Display**

Display 5 – Saturday 15^th June, 1pm

Display 6 – Saturday 16^th June, 3pm

Display 7 – Saturday 15^th June, 5pm

Display 8 – Saturday 15^th June, 7pm **Advanced Display**

Display 9 – Sunday 16^th June, 10am

Display 10 – Sunday 16^th June, 12pm

Display 11 – Sunday 16^th June, 2pm

Gymnasts only need to be at the gym 5 minutes before the display start time

Please DO NOT arrive any earlier than this – No access for parents our gymnasts until 5 mins before the start. PLEASE RESPECT THIS REQUEST.

If coaches require any group in earlier for any reason we will let you know – other then that please respect the request re not arriving early.

What to wear

All Recreational girls will need the black club leotard or Club Tshirt and coloured shorts/leggings or tracksuit end as listed for their group on the attached. (also encouraged to use face-paint to put Olympic ring on face if like)

All Recreational boys will need the Club t-shirt and coloured shorts or tracksuit end as listed for their group on the attached (also encouraged to use face-paint to put Olympic ring on face if like)

All Recreational plus gymnasts (Boys & Girls) – will be advised by coaches as to what they need to wear. Girls will need all need black club leotards.

Teen Gym & Adults – will be advised by coaches over the coming weeks.

Advanced – will be advised by coaches over the coming weeks.

Tickets for the Displays will go on sale at the beginning of June – Tickets for each displays will be limited!!. We will let you know closer to the time more info re purchasing tickets

(Tickets – €12 per adult & €5 per child). Children under 3 do not need a ticket but must sit on a parents lap ( will not have a seat)

Those participating in the display do not need a ticket.

No Scheduled classes while the displays are on from Tuesday 11^th – Sunday 16^th June incl. Classes will be as normal from Monday 17^th June until the end of term which will run until Sunday 7^th July incl
