Recreational, Teen Gym & Recreational Plus Club Competition 2024

Thursday 28^th, Friday 29^th, Saturday 30^th Nov & Sunday 1^st Dec

Dear Parents/Guardians,

This year our Annual Recreational Club Competition will take place on Thursday 28^th. Friday 29^th, Saturday 30^th & Sunday 1^st December.

In the lead up to the Club Competition all gymnasts in our Recreational & Recreational Plus groups will learn the competition routines within their weekly sessions – each routine is specific to an age group/level. We would encourage all gymnasts to consider taking part. (Teen gym those who wish to take part will work routines in their class)

Closer to the competition we will also circulate these to parents so gymnasts can practice at home.

This will be a fun event for all our gymnasts to take part in. It will allow them to experience the dynamics of a gymnastics competition. We hope to see parents, guardian, friends & family in attendance supporting our young athletes.

• This competition is applicable to our Recreational, Recreational Plus & Teen Gymnasts
• Gymnasts will compete in groups with other gymnasts who are of similar age.
• Recreational gymnasts will be given option to sign up for various days/ times as listed below & can be seen on portal/app.
• Recreational gymnasts will do a floor routine and another apparatus – details will be circulated when we send out videos of floor routines
• Teen Gym – are given a specific day & time
• Teen gymnasts will compete on all apparatus
• Recreational Plus gymnast – each group is assigned a specific day and time for their competition
• Recreational plus gymnast will compete on 4 apparatus
• Gymnasts can only enter 1 competition.
• Each competition will be approx. 1.5 /2 hours

Please note – Allocated times cannot be changed

Medals will be awarded to 1^st, 2^nd & 3^rd in each group. All participants will be presented with a medal and a treat.

All gymnasts wishing to take part must enter through our parent portal / app – by Friday 8^th November. Entry is optional.

Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Numbers are still limited so we advise if interested please book quickly!

We will be unable to accept entries after the closing date- Friday 8^th November

RECREATIONAL GYMNASTS details of Competition times you can select for our (options will show on portal/ app) – PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU BOOK YOUR CHILD IN FOR THE CORRECT AGE GROUP.

All Recreational gymnasts competing need to wear:

GIRLS – Black club leotard or Club T-shirt &black leggings /shorts/tracksuit ends

BOYS -Black club shorts/ tracksuits end & Club t-shirt)

All gymnasts perform barefoot.

Teen Gymnasts can book in for competition under the Tab Club Competition – Teen Gym. For those who wish to enter their competition takes place on Thursday 28^th Nov at 7pm  

All Teen gymnasts competing need to wear:

GIRLS – Black club leotard or black leggings/ shorts & a black t-shirt or club t-shirt

BOYS -Black club shorts/ tracksuits end & Club t-shirt or black t-shirt

All gymnasts perform barefoot.

RECREATIONAL PLUS GYMNASTS details of Competition times for each specific groups listed below; Gymnasts must be entered on the portal / app to compete -PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU BOOK YOUR CHILD IN FOR THE CORRECT GROUP.

All Recreational Plus gymnasts participating will need to wear:

Girls – Black club leotard

Boys -Black club shorts & Club t-shirt

All gymnasts perform barefoot.

(All uniform can be purchased from the Club shop)

Entry fee is Recreational Gymnasts €12.50 / Teen & Recreational Plus gymnasts €15 per gymnast. (Please note this is non-refundable or transferable)

Spectator entry fee on the day will be by donation – we ask you to kindly remember Douglas Gymnastics Club is a non-profit making community club. All income generated through fees and fundraising events is reinvested back into the club.

– simply input your email address & the password you would have setup previously and use system as you have done so previously
