Recreational Club Competition 2021

Dear Parents

This year our Annual Recreational Club Competition will take place over the weekend Saturday 27^th & Sunday 28^th November

All Recreational and Advanced Recreational gymnasts wishing to take part must enter through our parent portal / app – by Sunday 7^th November.

(Applicable to gymnasts born 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010 & 2009)

Gymnasts will compete in groups with other gymnasts who are the same age.

Once all entries have been received, we will finalise times for each age group and let everyone know their allocated competition time on the day they have selected /entered.

Closing date for entries is Sunday 7^th November – we will be unable to accept any late entries

(Finalised times will be circulated the following week)

During November in the lead up to the Club Competition all gymnasts will learn the competition routines within their weekly session – each routine is specific to an age group. Once gymnasts commence learning routines, we will also circulate these to parents so gymnasts can practice at home.

We are hoping this will be a fun event for all our recreational gymnasts to take part in. It will allow them to experience how a gymnastics competition runs. We are hoping that parents will be able to come to watch – but we are waiting further clarifications on restrictions from Gymnastics Ireland (we may need to limit numbers of spectators etc

Medal will be awarded to 1^st, 2^nd & 3rd in each group. All participants will be presented with a certificate and a treat.

All gymnasts participating will need to wear: –

Girls – Black club leotard.

Boys – White club t-shirt & black club shorts.

Entry fee is €10 per gymnast. (Please note this is non-refundable should your child not be able to participate)

Spectator entry fee on the day will be by donation – we ask you to kindly remember Douglas Gymnastics Club is a non-profit making community club. All income generated through fees and fundraising events is reinvested back into the club.

(We will confirm about spectator limitations/restrictions etc once we have further updates)

– This should bring you to a login page

– simply input your email address & the password you would have setup previously and use system as you have done so previously

(If you have forgotten your password – click forgot password/ login and a temporary password should eb emailed on to you)

Once downloaded and opened you will be asked for the organisation – this is Douglasgymnastics
